O site oficial de Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 anunciou que o anime ganhará um filme compilado ainda este ano, que incluirá algumas sequências inéditas. Para o anúncio, foi divulgada uma ilustração da Major feita por Ilya Kuvshinov (Birthday Wonderland).

Além disso, será lançado em 26 de novembro no Japão um box especial em Blu-ray com todos os 12 episódios do anime.
